Current Work: Summer 2008 SF Opera Center - Merola Program Don Giovanni Short Bio: Ulises Alcala is a Professor of Costume and Make-up Design at CSU East Bay and has designed several shows for the University as a resident designer. His professional credits include various theatres in the Bay Area, including designs for the San Francisco Opera Center’s Merola Program. Before joining CSUEB’s faculty he was a draper at the San Francisco Opera for seven seasons, producing costumes for internationally recognized opera designers and stars including costume designer Bob Mackie and soprano Renee Fleming. Ulises has an M.F.A. from the University of Massachussetts, Amherst. |
